Taormina

On a natural terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea, stands the splendid Taormina, the ancient Tauromenion. With its medieval village appearance, its ancient Greek soul, the colors and scents of the Mediterranean vegetation, Taormina is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the world. The climate of Sicily makes it, an ideal destination at any time of the year. About 15 minutes drive from our office.



ALCANTARA GORGES


Between Messina and Catania, you won't be able to resist the call of the world-famous "Gole" – the Gorges.

About 50 km of main river course, with unique and unusual natural features. Extremely intense geological and geothermal events have determined the structure of today's basalt layers. It seems that in prehistoric times, a river flowed over clay sediments; then huge volcanic eruptions channelled fluid magma into the river bed, which sank in the more clayey sections, creating the current basalt colonnades. The apotheosis of these spectacular sculptures of nature is located between Castiglione di Sicilia and Motta Camastra, in the Larderia district.

The water in the Alcantara River is very cold: you can rent rubber boots, but you can do without if you come in summer. Downstream, a small pebble beach awaits you where you can lie in the sun and cool off in the spray of the rapids. You can also trek in the upstream direction and enjoy the wonderful spectacle of the gorges. The bravest will dive in completely; the others will succumb involuntarily sooner or later! Just half an hour drive from our office.




MOUNT ETNA


Mount Etna is the highest European volcano and with its 3,357 m it is among the highest mountains in Europe. Etna is part of the world heritage sites protected by UNESCO. Through specific guides, you will be able to admire the enchanting landscapes created by "Mamma Etna" with the possibility of walking aboard ancient extinct craters, among ancient lava flows characterized by different shades of colour. Just over an hour's drive from our office.



SYRACUSE

Syracuse has been overlooking the Ionian Sea for more than two thousand years. It is the cradle of Archimedes, one of the most important cities that testify to the domination of the Greeks in Sicily. Today, Syracuse is divided between the mainland and the island of Ortigia, where most of the historical places and things to see are located. It is recommended to visit the island of Ortigia on foot as many of the town's streets are within a large restricted traffic zone. About an hour and an half drive from our office.



AGRIGENTO

The Valley of the Temples is an immense archaeological site located a short distance from the center of Agrigento, in Sicily. Since 1997 it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Doric temples, the Agora, the underground aqueducts and the necropolises of the Valley of the Temples occupy an area of ​​1300 hectares and are the greatest testimony to the Hellenic world and Magna Graecia in Italy. There are 12 temples more or less intact. Just over two hours' drive from our office.



CEFALU'

On the northern coast of Sicily, lies the Norman town of Cefalù, a splendid tourist and seaside resort. The town is located in an extraordinary panoramic position, dominated by a hill that falls steeply into the turquoise sea, called Rocca. Cefalù, which is part of the Madonie Park, is included in the club of "The most beautiful villages in Italy". The city's cathedral has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. More than two hours drive from our office.


PALERMO

Palermo is the beautiful capital of Sicily, a queen that contains a rich and varied cultural universe, where history and beauty meet in a unique atmosphere. Art and history of Palermo, the beautiful city of the island. Not far from Palermo, you can visit one of the most famous places in Sicily: the Cathedral of Monreale and its immense gold mosaics. To give you an idea, 2200 kg of pure gold were used to make them! About three hours drive from our office.
